Experiential Learning

Experiential learning is a process through which students develop knowledge, skills, and values from direct experiences outside a traditional academic setting. Meaningful experiential learning opportunities are integrated into nearly every part of TA’s curriculum, allowing students to step out of the classroom and into the community and the natural world.

Students at TA participate in community organizations, solve social problems through engineering and physics, design and build real-world projects, and engage in scientific and personal discovery. Experiential learning builds confidence and skills, and whether learning to drive or leading a team hike, students have a wide variety of opportunities to learn by doing.
