Introduction to Computer Science

Engineering & Technology
Grade: 9-12
Credits: 1
Computer Science drives much of the 21st century economy, from the software running on your phone when you text your friend, to the programs that help your car’s fuel economy and stability, to programs that decide what to suggest you buy when you visit How do they work? How can you write your own programs? How can you manage information or machines? In this course, students learn to design and write computer programs that solve problems in many different fields. Computer science is not a math class; there are no formulas to memorize, and if you forget something, you can look it up. Learning computer science involves using some fairly simple tools to build amazing things.
