The human body is a finely tuned, resilient, and adaptive machine. Anatomy and Physiology is an exploration of the inner workings of the body in health and disease. By exploring the healthy function of organ systems, students will be better able to understand how and why things go wrong—that is, when illness or injury occurs. This course covers organ systems including the Circulatory/ Respiratory, Digestive, Musculoskeletal, Integumentary, Nervous, Endocrine, Reproductive, and Immune, with a focus on understanding how the various systems work together to maintain homeostasis.
