TA News

Fall 2019 – Counseling News

The first quarter of the school year is always busy for the Counseling Office at TA. The department has kicked off the year by meeting with each new student to TA, including all 7th graders, 9th graders, and transfer students. In these meetings, students check in with their counselor about the transition to TA, and discuss any ups or downs they may be experiencing, and learn about the role the Counseling Office will play in their TA career.

Counselors Mark and Rebecca have taught several classroom lessons so far this year, giving students in-depth information about a variety of social-emotional and life-skills topics, and the Counseling Office Coordinator, Molly, has worked to train students in Naviance, the web-based platform used for career and college research. School Clinician Kara has met with many of our students in an ongoing way to address specific social and emotional needs.

If you have questions or concerns to share with our Counseling Office, you can contact them at [email protected], [email protected], or [email protected].
