Fall Sports Regular Season Closes, Playoffs Ahead

Last week, the Panthers celebrated their Varsity Soccer seniors at the final home games of the regular season.

At last Tuesday’s Varsity Girls game v. Stowe, the Panthers honored Brittany Clifford, Arwen Clayton, Grace Davis, Alexis Gaetz, Jade Jamieson, Lily MacVeagh, Casey MacVeagh, Bethany Maxfield, Ellen Veracka, and Sophie Williams for their contributions to the team.

The Panther Girls have earned the Division III State Title two years in a row and are top-seeded for the upcoming playoffs. In their last regular season game on Saturday, the girls played under the lights at Norwich University, shutting out Northfield-Williamstown with a 7-0 win. Their first playoff game will be at home v. Randolph on Tuesday, October 22, at 3:00 p.m.

Last Wednesday, the boys’ team celebrated its own senior Panthers: Liam Curtis, Dylan Kuban, Frank Loveland, Aidan Moore, Nate O’Donnell, and Ryan Pepe. The Boys’ have played hard this season, and took home a 1-0 win v. Williamstown/Northfield at Norwich University on Saturday. The Boys will travel to Peoples Academy on Wednesday, October 23, for their first playoff game, scheduled for 3:00 p.m.

TA’s middle school soccer teams will also wind up their regular season with home games v. Lyme on Monday, October 21 at 5pm.

Cross Country

TA’s Cross Country teams have had a great season, putting three runners as MVL All-Stars (Tad Darrah, Eamon Deffner, and Tobin Durham). The girls placed Madelyn Durkee as an MVL All-Star. The teams are gearing up for the state meet this weekend and hoping for good results!
