New Faces on Campus

If you’ve signed in at TA recently, you might have noticed a new face in TA’s front office. Welcome Alison Davis! Alison joined TA this August and splits her time between the front office and study center. She comes with years of administrative and teaching experience, and has worked in schools both internationally and in Vermont, including at Thetford Elementary.

Most recently, Alison taught English and history in Brattleboro after receiving her Master’s from SIT. When not at TA, Al restores vintage motorcycles and practices yoga. She lives with her dog, Buddha, in Norwich. Alison and Gloria Thurston Konicki, TA’s longtime office administrator, make a great team and are a welcoming presence in the bustling front office.

TA has also expanded its Buildings and Grounds team. This summer, TA and Thetford Elementary School’s B & G departments merged under one umbrella, a plan designed to create efficiencies and expand collaboration between the two schools. TA’s B & G team is excited to welcome back Rich Young as Custodial Supervisor and add two new members to the team, Mike Shimansky and Eric (Scott) Waterfield. The department now takes care of both TA and TES and does a great job keeping both campuses clean, safe, and well-maintained for our students.
