Winter Concert to Feature Holiday Classics & Music Across the Ages: Dec. 19

The choral and instrumental music programs will perform their winter concert on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 6:30 p.m. in the Martha Jane Rich Theater.

Nacho plays electric guitar with his instrumental class.

The band has been working hard preparing for the concert.  Approximately 40 musicians in grades 7-12 will be playing pieces from a broad scope of styles and eras, including music from Bach, Tchaikovsky, Leroy Anderson, Mel Tormé, and Vince Guaraldi.  A number of holiday classics will be featured, as well as a variety of non-seasonal pieces.

The choral ensembles will present music of the holiday season, including traditional English and German carols, along with popular hits from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. The concert repertoire will range from the music of J.S. Bach, to Rodgers and Hammerstein, The Mamas and The Papas, ABBA and more.

John Luce leads students in choral music practice session.
