ADVISORS: please read the following to your students:  Students who exhibited work in the Wells River Bank Art Show need to collect their work from the Art Room by Thursday, June 9. We cannot store pieces in the Art Room over the summer, so if you want them, now is the time!

ACT Reminder:  On Saturday, June 11, ACTs will be held at various locations.  Please remember to bring your admission ticket, a calculator, photo ID, and at least two number 2 pencils.

Seniors:  Please visit the bulletin board outside the Counseling Office to confirm information that will be available graduation night for public viewing.

Students from incoming grade 9 through outgoing grade 12 are eligible to attend the Security,Technology, and Society High School Summer Camp at Dartmouth College. July 5 - 8, 2011, 9:00 - 1:00.  There is no charge for this program.  The workshop will explore current interdisciplinary research in cyber security and privacy with regard to information sharing technologies and the implications they have on our lives.  Applications and teacher recommendations are due May 31st.  Forms are available for download at http://www.ists.dartmouth.edu/events/summercamp.html.

DRESS CODE REMINDER to the T.A. Community
:  In anticipation of summer during our last three weeks of school, all students, faculty, and staff are asked to please follow the T.A. Dress Code.  Remember that our Handbook states, "Footwear must be worn at all times." As well, the following warm-weather fashions are not allowed:  Garments that reveal midriff, lower back, or cleavage, visible underwear,  Sleeveless clothing,  Shorts, skorts, dresses, or other garments shorter than fingertip length. As stated in the Handbook,  "If you are in doubt about whether or not your outfit is appropriate for school, bring your own extra layers." Offenders will be asked to add their own additional layers or be provided with T.A.- issued coverage.


“Intro to College Studies”:  The Community College of Vermont (CCV) is offering a course called “Intro to College Studies.”  This course is designed to help all high school students develop skills and strategies for college success.  Students who successfully complete this FREE course are eligible for a FREE college course at CCV or any Vermont State College.  The voucher for a free course must be used while in high school or the summer after graduation.  The next session is from July 5 - August 4, from 5::30 - 8:00 PM.  Stop by the Counseling Office if you are interested.

College Learning Strategies Course:  Dartmouth College is offering a course to prepare students for college level learning.  Course to be held beginning July 11, from 10:00 -11:30 AM.  Contact the Academic Skills Center at 603-646-2014, e-mail ASC@Dartmouth.edu, for more information and to register. Course fee: $60.00.
