Rose Dedam

Science Teacher

Before joining the TA faculty in 2015, Rose Dedam taught high school science and coached track and cross-country teams in Central Vermont for nine years. She has a BS from Bowdoin College, where she majored in biology and environmental studies and minored in education. She obtained her master’s degree in science education from Montana State University.

Rose appreciates the outdoor resources and campus at TA, and notes that “few students at TA take their education for granted. They are invested in learning and appreciative of what I’m teaching. Students say ‘thank you’ when they leave, it’s amazing.”

Rose grew up in Lyme, NH, and has also lived in Montana.

“Consider that the mind is capable of an endless growth.”—Asa Burton, one of the founders, urging citizens of Thetford to establish TA in 1819
