Thetford Academy is a vibrant, independent secondary school serving students in grades 7-12. TA offers enriched educational opportunities for our students who are college bound and also for those who are technicaly oriented.

In keeping with our mission as a community school, Thetford Academy maintains an open admission policy for area residents and seeks to admit a wide range of students from local communities. The Academy maintains Partnership Agreements with three towns: Thetford, VT; Strafford, VT; and Lyme, NH. Students from these towns are guaranteed admission in the following grades:

Thetford Grades 7-12
Strafford Grades 9-12
Lyme Grades 9-12

Thetford Academy also accepts students from other towns by application. In the 2012-2013 school year we enrolled students from the Waits River District, Hartland, Washington, Sharon, and Orange in Vermont and Hanover, NH. In addition, we host students through our fledgling International Program; this year we currently have six students from China in grades 9-12.

This year we hosted two open house events to introduce Thetford Academy to prospective students and families. These events, entitled "Meet TA: Discover Your Future" were offered in October and November. The evenings included panel discussions with faculty, current students, and parents; and tours of the campus were offered by our team of Student Ambassadors.

Prospective students have the opportunity to spend a day at TA as a "Shadow Student". Follow the schedule of one or more of our Student Ambassadors and experience first hand life at Thetford Academy.
