November Student of the Month: Sammantha Lepenven
Our November Student of the Month is one of the hardest working seniors at TA. She puts 100% into everything she does. Her class work, day after day, demonstrates her determination to understand complex material, to do her best thinking and writing, and to get the most out of her time in and out of the classroom. Her teachers say that she is not afraid to offer a comment in class even if she is unsure of the answer. Sammantha Lepenven is willing to take risks to further her learning.
Many of us may not know that Sammantha is also a writer. Mr. Deffner states that “Sam wrote a couple of great poems about her ‘Nonnie’ and ice skating. One of the really wonderful qualities about Sam is her willingness to try different things and put herself out there.” Those of us who know Sam can easily picture her in her younger years as a curly-haired little girl, out on the ice having a great time!
Sam has stepped into a leadership role in the senior class, and she is always among the first to volunteer to participate in class activities. She contributes so much, and does it quietly and confidently. Sammantha Lepenven sets a great example for us all.
We are proud to recognize Sammantha as Thetford Academy’s Student of the Month for November 2016.
